Jaguars use Robinson in some Wildcat plays

The Jacksonville Jaguars listed Denard Robinson's position on the roster as "OW" for offensive weapon.

Now, according to the Florida Times-Union, a part of that weaponry could be the Wildcat formation.

Robinson ran the Wildcat on Monday in practice, completing a pass and executing some handoffs. For a guy who was a college quarterback for Michigan and could run with the football, the assignment shouldn't be too much of a stretch. Yet, Robinson had fumble and execution issues when the Jaguars attempted to run the Wildcat in OTAs.

“We did it in OTAs and a couple of times he ran the ball and fumbled the ball and he didn’t know how to pitch,’’ Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said. “We’re not going to give up on that. [Offensive coordinator] Jedd’s (Fisch) philosophy is to get it in the playmaker’s hands and we want to see if he’s a playmaker and the threat he can give us.’’

So it sounds as if the Wildcat will be a presence in the Jaguars' and Robinson's arsenal this season, once he masters it. What else would you expect from an offensive weapon?
