Jahri Evans gets $5.4 million bonus, $9.5 million guaranteed in $18 million contract extension, Saints saved $4 million against cap

New Orleans Saints veteran offensive guard Jahri Evans got a $5.4 million signing bonus and $9.5 million guaranteed in his $18 million contract extension, according to a league source. Evans ' salary-cap figure is now $7 million for 2015, down from $11 million His base salary is now $1.003 million, which is fully guaranteed, down from $6.8 million. He has a $500,00 roster bonus paid on the 15th day of the league year and a $200,000 workout bonus.
In 2016, Evans has a $8.2 million salary-cap figure, down from $9.16 million.
Evans is due a $3.8 million base salary ($2 million of it is guaranteed) in 2016, down from $8 million, has a $500,000 roster bonus due on the 15th day of the league year and a $200,000 workout bonus. He also has an escalator clause.
In 2017, the new year in the deal, Evans has a $7.8 million salary cap figure, a $4.9 million base salary, a $1 million roster bonus, a $100,000 workout bonus and an escalator clause.
