Jahvid Best hopeful he can play Sunday at Green Bay
Lambeau Field has been nothing short of a house of horrors for the Detroit Lions, who have not won there since 1991.
But perhaps the Lions will get a boost before they make their trip to Green Bay this weekend as rookie running back Jahvid Best is hopeful a case of turf toe does not prevent him from participating in the NFC North rivalry for the first time in his career.
The NFL’s rookie of the month for September, who already has five touchdowns, has been held out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday but Tom “Killer” Kowalski of MLive.com reports that Best is keeping it positive.
“My toe is doing good. I've got to take it day by day,'' Best said. "I'll give it a go (Friday) and see how it feels. It's gotten a lot better -- better than I thought it was going to get. It's looking real good right now.''
