Jahvid Best likely to miss Saturday's preseason game

Jahvid Best returned to a light practice on Wednesday but the Detroit Lions running back is still going to be used with caution following a concussion last week.

Best came out of the game against the Cleveland Browns after only three snaps, and according to the Detroit Free Press he is unlikely to play Saturday against the New England Patriots at Ford Field.

Best sat out a month as a junior at Cal because of a concussion and the Lions want to proceed with caution.

“When we came in on Sunday, I thought everything was fine, and I thought I was going to practice and everything," Best said. "They told me, 'You've got to take a break for a minute.' So, can't fight that."

The good news is he said he’s felt fine since the day after the game. Hopefully, he’ll remain healthy moving forward.
