Jamaal Charles set for Cowboys game

Kansas Cith Chiefs star running back Jamaal Charles declared himself ready to play Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.

Charles has been dealing with a bruised quadriceps that forced him out a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars last week.

"I'm ready to play," Charles told reporters. "I'm ready-to-play percent."

Charles participated fully today after being limited Thursday.

"You're going to feel sore," said Charles, a Texas native who played at the University of Texas. "That's the game of football. You've just got to fight through it. I've been through tougher things than this. I've fought through a whole bunch of stuff that's been hurting me.

"I'm really a tough player and I'll play through pain. I'm really excited because a lot of people from my hometown and a lot of people from Texas are going to be watching this game. I want to go out there and have a good game."
