Jason Pierre-Paul issues a warning for Robert Griffin III
Jason Pierre-Paul has a simple warning for Robert Griffin III.
“Don’t bring it to my side,” Pierre-Paul said, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News. “Go the other way.”
The Giants are preparing to face the Washington Redskins and their electric rookie quarterback and Pierre-Paul believes New York has the speed on his side of the ball to contain last year’s Heisman Trophy winner from Baylor. Griffin has rushed for 379 yards and six touchdowns in six games, including a 76-yard score to put last Sunday’s victory over the Minnesota Vikings away.
“Trust me, we chase quarterbacks all the time,” Pierre-Paul said. “We turn and run to the ball, no matter what. He may get past us and zoom right past us, but trust me we’re right behind him. You’ve got to respect that, too. It’s not all about the speed. We’ve got guys, all 11 guys that can run to the ball very quick.
“You’d be surprised. Very surprised.”
We’ll see who the surprise is on this week. It shapes up to be an exciting matchup.
