Jed York has fun announcing who will throw to Randy Moss
If it wasn’t for the free-agent tour being taken by Peyton Manning, there might be more attention paid to Randy Moss’ search for a new team.
But as the NFL prepares for the beginning of free agency on Tuesday, the 35-year-old veteran wide receiver is just another of what will be many options available on the street.
The San Francisco 49ers will check Moss out today, and owner Jed York had some fun with the news, making you think Manning for just a second.
“Former Colt Pro Bowl QB throwing for #49ers tomorrow. Just to clarify, Coach Harbaugh is turning into Capt Comeback to throw to Randy Moss," York wrote on his Twitter account.
Maybe in the next day or so the 49ers will work to have their own quarterback Alex Smith under contract again. Offseason negotiations have not proved fruitful to this point.
