Jeremy Lane placed on IR-designated to return
The Seattle Seahawks will be without cornerback Jeremy Lane for at least eight weeks, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Lane, who injured his groin against the Packers on Thursday, was placed on injured reserve-designated to return on Monday. That means he won't be eligible to play for eight games. He can return to practice after six weeks.
The Seahawks are all of a sudden thin at cornerback as Tharold Simon is still recovering from a knee procedure. But the three corners Seattle is running with are pretty good in Richard Sherman, Byron Maxwell and Marcus Burley.
But with the possibility of injury high in the sport of football, the Seahawks will likely make a move to try and bolster that unit numbers wise.
