Jeremy Maclin leaves practice with hamstring tweak

Jeremy Maclin was reportedly having a whale of a day during Philadelphia's joint practice with New England.

He kept beating Patriots' cornerback Darrelle Revis on the outside and drew three defensive holding penalties against him. But then came a scary sight for Eagles fans everywhere. Maclin, via The Philadelphia Inquirer, pulled up due to a hamstring tweak he sustained during the practice.

The injury appears relatively minor. Via the Newark Star-Ledger, Maclin said the injury "shouldn't be a big deal." However, it is an injury to a hamstring. Those can linger and are susceptible to re-injury if a player rushes back too soon.

The Eagles and Maclin haven't ruled out the possibility of him playing in Friday's preseason game. However, they should. The last thing the Eagles want to do is risk losing their top deep threat for any regular season games.
