Jerry Jones: 'We're running out of time here'
Jerry Jones says he feels like the fans of the Dallas Cowboys after the offense sputtered Sunday night in a 19-13 loss to the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome.
The Cowboys wound up settling for field goals in the first quarter and the failures came back to haunt them in a loss that dropped the club to 3-5.
“I know how our fans feel. I know how I feel,” Jones said, according to the Dallas Morning News. “What counts is to win the ballgames. How you’re playing and what you’re doing good can count if you’ve got enough time to straighten it out and basically do something good for your season, so we’re running out of time here and that’s a concern of mine.”
The schedule turns for the Cowboys and they have a much easier slate in the second half. Yes, they have games against Pittsburgh and Cincinnati in mid-December but the Cowboys also have two games with the Washington Redskins and meetings with the Browns and Saints in the second half. It’s a chance to start a roll but it has to start now.
