Jets activate Mike Goodson, promote Michael Campbell

The New York Jets placed running back Mike Goodson on the active roster after he served his four-game suspension for violating the NFL substance-abuse policy.

Goodson was arrested on weapons and drug charges during the offseason and was placed on the non-football illness list and was suspended in August by the NFL.

The Jets promoted wide receiver Michael Campbell to the active roster from the practice squad.

The Jets cut outside linebacker Ricky Sapp and wide receiver Ryan Spadola.
