Jets cut Matt Simms
The New York Jets have cut quarterback Matt Simms, the son of former New York Giants Super Bowl winning quarterback Phil Simms.
Simms went undrafted out of Tennessee.
Simms played in three games in 2013 and threw one touchdown.
For his career, he has completed 19 of 39 passes for 195 yards, a touchdown and one interception.
The Jets have four quarterbacks on the roster: Geno Smith, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bryce Petty and Jake Heaps.
