Jets' Ellis reaches plea agreement
Kenrick Ellis has reached a plea agreement on his charge of felony malicious wounding, according to the New York Daily News.
Ellis had been charged with a Class 3 felony in Virginia., but has entered a guilty plea to misdemeanor assault and battery to settle the case.
Ellis, a third-round pick of the Jets last year, is a Jamaican citizen, and could have faced deportation if he had been convicted of the felony charge. Now, however, he is expected to be able to remain in the United States.
