Jets fined $100,000 for tampering comments regarding Darrelle Revis

The New York Jets have been fined $100,000 for owner Woody Johnson's comments last year about cornerback Darrelle Revis when he was under contract with the New England Patriots. The Patriots filed tampering charges against the Jets after Johnson said he would "love to have Darrelle back" in December. Revis ultimatlely signed a five=year, $70 million contract with the Jets. The Patriots won't be pujnished for owner Robert Kraft saying he wishes Revis "was still with us." "I really have no comment,"Revis said. "I know my name was involved in the tampering situations, but that's not in my control. Nothing I can do." Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun
