Jets fullback Lex Hilliard out for the season

New York Jets veteran fullback Lex Hilliard broke his scapula and was placed on injured reserve.

The Jets signed wide receiver Marcus Rucker to take his place on the roster.

Hilliard started nine games last season.

He was trailing seventh-round rookie Tommy Bohanon in a competition.

Hilliard has also played for the Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots.
