Jets' Goodson out for season with torn ACL, MCL

New York Jets veteran running back Mike Goodson is out for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament.

Goodson made the announcement via his official Twitter account.

"Not to happy right now, but everything happens for a reason!" Goodson wrote.

Goodson had rushed for 61 yards on seven carries this season since returning from a four-game suspension after receiving treatment for substance abuse.

He still faces drug and weapons charges in New Jersey.

Goodson was signed to a three-yearr, $6.9 million contract in March that included a $1 million signing bonus.
