Jets' Keller jumps to Sanchez's defense
Dustin Keller is tired of the flak his quarterback Mark Sanchez has been taking for the New York Jets' inconsistent play this season
So when Sanchez fired four touchdown passes to beat the Buffalo Bils on Sunday, the tight end used the opportunity as a stage to defend his beleaguered quarterback, saying the Jets receivers needed to step up and help him.
I think it wasn’t so much Mark that came out slow, we as receivers could have done a better job and made it easier on him,” Keller told the New York Daily News. “I think he’s playing really well. We could run routes a little better and come up with those catches and help him out a little more.”
Keller did his part on Sunday, catching two of Sanchez's four touchdowns against the Bills.
