Jets owner Johnson leaves door open for Revis deal
There have been rumors and reports for weeks now that the New York Jets are attempting to move cornerback Darrelle Revis in a trade.
Jets owner Woody Johnson did nothing to douse that fire at the NFL owners meetings in Phoenix, leaving the door open for the possibility of trading the star corner, who is coming off major knee surgery.
"If somebody wants to make an offer, for any of our players, we'd always listen," Johnson said via ESPN.com. "We're not actively beating the bushes."
While that might sound generic, the Revis rumors have been so strong of late that even an outright denial probably wouldn't put the kibosh on the story. So a comment like Johnson's will only increase the speculation until Revis either is dealt or is still in a Jets uniform at next fall's trade deadline.
