Jets plan to use Tebow as more than QB
The New York Jets have plans for Tim Tebow beyond him being a backup quarterback to Mark Sanchez and playing some in the Wildcat formation.
According to ESPN.com, the Jets also have plans to use Tebow as a utility player - perhaps getting him some time at H-back, fullback and even running back, in addition to his usual quarterback preparation.
The Jets didn't offer any comment beyond what has already been said, that Tebow is the No. 2 quarterback and will see time in the Wildcat package that new offensive coordinator Tony Sparano will install.
But the more versatile Tebow can be, the more valuable he becomes to the Jets, even if they don't see him as a quarterback long-term.
