Jets re-sign A.J. Edds, cut Ellis Lankster

The New York Jets have re-signed linebacker A.J. Edds and cut cornerback Ellis Lankster.

Edds is a former Miami Dolphins fourth-round pick. He has also played for the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts.

The Jets cut linebacker Jeremiah George, claiming wide receiver Walter Powell and cornerback Leon McFadden off waivers, signed cornerback Phillip Adams and cut wide receiver Quincy Enunwa.
