Jets sign WR David Nelson

With Santonio Holmes sidelined for the time being with a hamstring injury, the Jets have signed receiver David Nelson, according to the New York Post.

Nelson recently worked out for the Jets in late September.

Nelson could find playing time as soon as this week depending on the status of receiver Stephen Hill. Hill sustained a concussion in Sunday's loss to Tennessee.

Nelson spent the past three seasons with the Buffalo Bills, catching 94 passes for 1,042 yards and eight touchdowns.
