Jevan Snead to resurface with Bucs
Jevan Snead is the poster boy for all-time draft duds.
The Ole Miss quarterback left school a year early to enter the draft back in April and wasn’t selected. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers only to be unceremoniously dumped before the team opened training camp.
Well, Snead looks like he will get a second shot in Tampa. Pewter Report reports that with starting quarterback Josh Freeman sidelined for the remainder of the preseason with a minor thumb injury, Snead will be signed.
What his chances are of sticking around past the first few days of September, we’re not going to speculate. Still, Snead’s decision to leave school early was terrible and should serve as a lesson and reminder for those who consider it in the future.
