Jim Harbaugh won't talk about Texas job

With Jim Harbaugh's name became attached in a report about the not-currently-open Texas Longhorns job, reporters asked the 49ers coach if there was anything to it.

The response they received wasn't friendly.

"Are you trying to be funny?" Harbaugh said, via the San Jose Mercury News.

Harbaugh added, "I don't ever talk about any job other than the one I have."

Harbaugh was a successful college football coach at Stanford, directing the Cardinal to an 11-1 regular season in 2010 and an Orange Bowl win over Virginia Tech. In his second season with the 49ers in 2012, Harbaugh led his team to Super Bowl XLVII, where San Francisco lost to the Baltimore Ravens 34-31.

In addition to the Texas linkage, Harbaugh apparently turned down the USC coaching job, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Ultimately, it's expected that Harbaugh stays with the 49ers.
