Jimmy Graham to miss rest of October
Conventional wisdom said that Saints tight end Jimmy Graham could rest up this week and return after New Orleans' bye.
Not so fast.
According to a report from the NFL Network, Graham is expected to miss the Saints' next two games against the Lions and Packers. This is a major blow to a Saints' offense that relies primarily on Graham in the passing game.
Graham injured his should a week ago against the Buccaneers that forced him to leave the game.
He has 34 catches, 376 receiving yards and three touchdowns for the season. The Saints did sign Tom Crabtree, though the Saints don't have a tight end on the roster that can fill Graham's role. In the receiving game, though, this could mean more opportunities for rookie Brandin Cooks to shine with Graham sidelined.
