Jimmy Graham Traded to Seahawks For Max Unger, Pick
In the first official day of NFL free agency, the Seahawks found their target for future 4th-and-1's: tight end Jimmy Graham.
The Seahawks will send the Saints two-time Pro-Bowl center Max Unger and their 1st round pick (31st overall) for the upcoming draft, while the Saints will pair Jimmy Graham with their 2015 4th-round pick.
The 28-year-old Graham has been Drew Brees' go-to red-zone target the past five seasons, scoring 51 touchdowns across 50 starts. While his receiving yards dropped below 1,000 yards last season (889), he's still managed to record 85 receptions and at least nine touchdowns the last three seasons. Graham signed a 4 year, $40 million deal last offseason, meaning he'll likely be a centerpiece of their passing attack for at least the next three seasons.
Max Unger will help anchor the Saints rushing attack in front of recently re-signed Mark Ingram, taking some pressure off of 36-year-old Drew Brees.
