John Carlson to visit Chiefs
John Carlson missed all of last season with a shoulder injury but now he’s healthy and he’s also the top tight end in a free-agent class that is thin at the position.
Carlson has drawn considerable interest since free agency opened and he will visit the Kansas City Chiefs, according to an NFL source. The Chiefs have been aggressive in their pursuit of Carlson and signs certainly point to a deal getting done there.
Tony Moeaki had a fine rookie season for the Chiefs in 2010 but is rehabilitating his way back from a torn ACL. The addition of Carlson would give Kansas City a pair of young tight ends to feature in the offense. Stay tuned.
