Joique Bell agrees to extension with Lions
The Detroit Lions have locked up running back Joique Bell for the next three seasons, according to a report from ESPN.
Bell will play the 2014 season under his RFA tender and then will have a two-year extension follow. The two years will be worth $7 million with the next three years a combined $9.3 million.
Bell is regarded as one of the NFL's top backup running backs with starting potential. Playing behind Reggie Bush, Bell carried the ball 166 times for 650 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.
