Jordan Pugh works out for Broncos

The Denver Broncos worked out safety Jordan Pugh, according to a league source.

Pugh was with the Washington Redskins the previous two seasons. While he only appeared in four games during the 2013 season, he recorded an interception and pass deflection against the Broncos.

Pugh played college football at Texas A&M and was a sixth-round draft pick by Carolina in 2010 by Broncos coach John Fox.

Pugh has connections with the assistant secondary coach, Sam Garnes, who coached in Carolina when he was with the Panthers.

Pugh played cornerback in high school and college, but has just played safety in the NFL.

He was coached in high school by former Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl cornerback Everson Walls.

Walls played at Grambling with Pugh's father.
