Julian Edelman played on after being evaluated for potential concussion

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman played through a potential head injury that some thought was a concussion after being shaken up on a hit by Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor.

Edelman wound up playing on and caught the game-winning touchdown pass.

"We're not allowed to talk about injuries," Edelman said.

"Julian's one of the toughest players I've ever had a chance to coach," offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels said. "This is typical of Julian, too, fighting the entire four quarters, physical. Getting knocked down numerous times and taking a bunch of big hits. He just keeps playing and playing and playing. Ultimately, he comes through tremendously in the fourth quarter."

Edelman caught 92 passes for 972 yards and four touchdowns in the regular season. In the playoffs, he caught 26 passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns.

"We're bringing this thing back to Foxborough," Edelman said. "It feels unbelievable."
