Just like that, Seahawks bring back Jordan Babineaux

The Seattle Seahawks continue to shuffle the deck.

Just released safety Jordan Babineaux is back in the fold, a transaction made possible after he agreed to a new contract, according to Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times. Babineaux was due to earn $2.45 million this season, and the new figure is somewhere south of there.

He gives the team some experience in the secondary. Defensive tackle Craig Terrill was released to make room.

It’s a sign of the time for the Seahawks. The club reportedly forced a pay cut on running back Julius Jones. That is how he was able to remain after reports over the weekend by ESPN indicated that he would be released. The new management team is making sweeping changes and some of the veterans that get to stay are doing so at a reduced rate.
