Kellen Moore calls landing with Lions 'great outcome in the end'
Kellen Moore looks to have found a pretty good situation with the Detroit Lions where he can develop behind Matthew Stafford and Shaun Hill.
Is it ideal? No. The quarterback who won 50 games as a starter at Boise State would be much better served having been drafted, a situation where a team would have an investment in him. But Moore told the Idaho Statesman he believes he’s found a good situation after watching 11 other quarterbacks get their names called in the draft.
“Very frustrating process, but a great outcome in the end,” Moore said, according to the report. “Going into it, you felt very comfortable and confident that you’d get an opportunity to get drafted. Bottom line is it didn’t happen. But it’s kind of funny you end up where you’d love to go in the first place.
“I don’t think there will probably be a more motivated quarterback.”
