Kinder, gentler, funnier Belichick on display in Indy
Bill Belichick will never be confused with Jerry Seinfeld or Chris Rock when it comes to humor.
Nonetheless, Belichick delivered his "A" material on the podium Sunday when the Patriots arrived in Indianapolis in preparation for Super Bowl XLVI, speaking of how much the hospitality toward him had improved in the city since a 2009 game when the Patriots went for and failed on a fourth-and-2 play from their own 28-yard line against the Colts.
“I never had too much hospitality here, until I went for it on fourth-and-2,” Belichick said via NFL.com. “Since then, I’ve been greeted in a lot more friendly manner than I ever was in the past.”
The guess is that Belichick's continued good feelings toward Indianapolis will be directly linked to the outcome of Sunday's game.
