Kraft: Tebow is great for the NFL
Everyone in and around the NFL has an opinion of sorts on Tim Tebow, both as a football player and as a man not afraid to wear his faith on his sleeve.
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, for one, says that is a good thing both for the NFL and the country.
“I kind of like it that he’s about spirituality, that the country is thinking about spirituality,” Kraft told the Boston Herald. “I think he’s great for the NFL. The kind of young man (Tebow) is, the values he represents. I think it’s terrific."
Tebow, who faces Kraft's Patriots Sunday when the Broncos host New England, was very complimentary of Kraft and thankful for his comments.
“I respect Mr. Kraft very much and had the opportunity to meet him. That was definitely a pleasure for me,” Tebow said. “I feel if (Kraft’s compliments) are true, I’d take that as a huge honor. I feel if I can be a good role model, if I could make faith something cool, having a relationship with Christ something cool, then I think that would be awesome."
