Kyle Orton injures toe in loss

Adding injury to insult, Buffalo Bills quarterback Kyle Orton injured his toe during Thursday night's 22-9 loss to the Miami Dolphins, according to ESPN.com.

Orton did not play well, completing 22 of 39 passes for only 139 yards. The Miami defense made things extremely difficult on Orton, something the Dolphins have been doing to many teams of late.

Orton told reporters after the game that his toe injury should be fine. It will still be something to monitor, considering the Bills probably don't want to turn back to E.J. Manuel, who was wildly ineffective as the team's starter to open the season.

The Bills are now 5-5 after dropping their past two games and have a lot of ground to make up if they're going to make a playoff push. Upcoming games against the Jets and Raiders should help, but matchups against the Browns, Broncos, Packers and Patriots will be worrisome.
