L.A. Mike released from the big house

The football player who rapped with the name L.A. Mike has been released from prison.

Former Chicago Bears cornerback Mike Richardson, a starter for the Super Bowl XX champions, has been released from custody in Orange County, Calif., after an appellate court found that he did not violate terms of his probation, according to the Orange County Register. Richardson has been sentenced to 13 years behind bars in 2008 for violation probation/

The judge ruled he could be returned to prison if he has any future violations of his parole. Richardson has been in deep trouble with law enforcement since his playing days ended. When he was sent away in 2008 that was after his 21st conviction for a narcotics-related offense, according to the report.

Richardson was L.A. Mike in the “Super Bowl Shuffle” that the Bears performed and recorded during the 1985 season.
