LaRon Landy activated to Colts' 53-man roster
The Indianapolis Colts activated safety LaRon Landry to the 53-man roster following a four-game suspension and an additional week on the exempt/commissioner permission list.
Landry served the suspension for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing drugs policy. It's likely for Landry to step back into his starting safety spot. Before being suspended, Landry started Indianapolis' first four games and totaled 25 tackles and one sack.
In addition to the Colts' activating Landry, the franchise activated offensive tackle Xavier Nixon from the injured reserve-designated to return list. Nixon has been practicing with the Colts since Oct. 15, when he began his three-week grace period.
To make room for Landry and Nixon, the Colts waived cornerback Jalil Brown and tackle Jamon Meredith.
The Colts also waived fullback Stanley Havili, who was on the physically unable to perform list, due to a failed physical.
