Larry Johnson is unemployed again

Larry Johnson's second stint with the Miami Dolphins was a short one.

ProFootballTalk.com indicated that the Dolphins released the veteran running back, who was re-signed by the team just a couple of days before Miami's season opener against New England.

Johnson had been with the Dolphins in the latter part of preseason, but was released in final cuts only to be brought back a few days later just before the opener.

According to the story, because Johnson used his salary termination provision when the Kansas City Chiefs let him go midway through 2009, he will not be able to collect all of his base salary for 2011.
