Leroy Hill arrested for possession of marijuana
Pending free agent linebacker Leroy Hill is in a jam again.
The veteran Seattle Seahawk was arrested on Saturday morning in Atlanta for possession of marijuana, the third time in three years he’s been arrested and the second time he’s been busted with pot.
Eric Williams of the Tacoma Tribune reports Atlanta police received a search warrant for Hill’s apartment after receiving complaints of marijuana smoke coming from his residence. Inside, police allegedly discovered partially smoked “blunt” in plain view and marijuana residue. Hill and his girlfriend were arrested.
Hill was arrested for marijuana possession on Jan. 24, 2009, in Atlanta and was arrested in Washington in 2010 for alleged domestic violence.
It’s remarkably poor timing for Hill, who is coming off his best season on the field in some time. He played in all 16 games for the first time in seven years. Now, his future will be clouded by another arrest and a suspension could loom.
