Leroy Hill will get his day in court starting Thursday
Leroy Hill will head to court starting Thursday to begin his trial for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.
Both Hill and his girlfriend called police and when they responded officers saw a sign of injury on the girlfriend that was allegedly caused by Hill, according to Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times. The Seattle Seahawks linebacker was arrested and he has pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor charge.
Hill was ordered by the team to stay away from the majority of the voluntary offseason workout program as it sorted out what to do with him longterm. After Hill met with commissioner Roger Goodell, he was invited back. Hill is on probation for a marijuana charge in Georgia and could potentially face legal repercussions if he’s convicted in this case. Hill has already been suspended for the first game of the season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. More punishment could follow.
