LeSean McCoy fires Drew Rosenhaus, changes mind
Philadelphia Eagles running back fired his agent Drew Rosenhaus earlier this week before he reversed course and decided to remain with the Miami-based power broker.
Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that McCoy submitted documents necessary to the NFLPA to terminate his relationship with Rosenhaus after the two had dinner in Philadelphia on Wednesday. Rosenhaus remained in Philadelphia and apparently wooed McCoy back.
The running back, like wide receiver DeSean Jackson, also a Rosenhaus client, is seeking a long-term contract extension. McCoy said he doesn’t want to get in a position like Jackson finds himself, in the final year of his deal.
“Let me be honest with you, I never want to be in that situation,” McCoy said. “Everybody’s situation is different. [An extension] would be a blessing if that happened because I don’t want to go anywhere else or play anywhere else. I love it here. I’m a Pennsylvania guy – from high school to college to here.”
