The Minnesota Vikings squandered a double-digit halftime lead for the third time in as many losses but Leslie Frazier isn’t pushing the panic button.

Not now anyway.

The Vikings plan to stay the course with quarterback Donovan McNabb, who was solid at least in the first half Sunday as Minnesota built a 20-0 lead over the Detroit Lions at the Metrodome. Some are growing anxious to see first-round draft pick Christian Ponder, but that’s not a move a move Frazier is ready to consider.

“I don't think the quarterback position is our problem right now," Frazier said, according to Brian Murphy of the St. Paul Pioneer Press. “No. We're not thinking about anything at the quarterback position.”

McNabb couldn’t make anything happen in the second half when the game slipped away from the Vikings. The offense has the ball in the closing minutes but couldn’t get the touchdown that was needed.

“I feel like I left some plays out there," McNabb acknowledged. "You recognize the opportunities you had that you didn't take advantage of. Things can get cleaned up, and for me that's the part that I look forward to - cleaning up.”
