Lewis hopes to be back by Dec. 18
Ray Lewis has been unable to play for three games now with a troublesome turf toe injury.
It doesn't appear as if Lewis will suit up this week when the Ravens play the winless Indianapolis Colts. Instead, the target date for the Ravens defensive leader will be Dec. 18 against the San Diego Chargers, according to the Baltimore Sun.
"We probably have been somewhat cautious," Ravens coach John Harbaugh admitted regarding the treatment of Lewis' injury. "We want to make sure he doesn't re-injure it."
