Lions add considerable O-line depth with Leonard Davis
The Detroit Lions held a mass workout last week during their bye, kicking the tires on 24 players.
It was unusual just because of the high number of players the team brought through for an inspection. Turns out, one of the more high-profile players to be summoned to Allen Park, Mich., will be sticking around. The Lions will sign veteran guard Leonard Davis, according to the Twitter account of Rep-1 Sports Group, the California-based agency.
Davis, a three-time Pro Bowl performer for the Dallas Cowboys, will provide some depth to the interior of the Lions’ line. It was surprising that he didn’t get work during the summer when training camp opened.
