Lions disputing Buccaneers' offer sheet for George Johnson
The Detroit Lions are disputing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' three-year, $9 million offer sheet for restricted free agent defensive end George Johnson.
Johnson signed with the Buccaneers last week. Now, an arbitrator is going to decide if the offer sheet is valid.
The arbitrator has 10 days to rule on the situation.
The Lions have the right to match the offer sheet.
They wouldn't get a draft pick if they decline to match the offer sheet. The original round tender he was given is worth $1.542 million.
