Lions have no plans to sign Ray Rice

The Detroit Lions aren't considering signing former Ravens running back Ray Rice, according to coach Jim Caldwell.

Caldwell was Rice's offensive coordinator in Baltimore.

“We haven’t considered that at this point,” Caldwell said Monday.

Rice was reinstated last week following an indefinite suspension for a domestic violence incident.

“I am not sure what will happen to him in this league,” Caldwell said. “Certainly I believe in second chances. At some point I think he will get one. But when it’s going to happen, I don’t know.”
