Lions look at defensive backs

The Detroit Lions are still working over the bottom third of their roster.

To that end, they continue to look at players on the street who could potentially be of more use to them than some of the guys currently using lockers.

Per an NFL source, the Lions rolled five players through their Allen Park, Mich., facility for visits this week. That group was headlined by four defensive backs. The Lions signed veteran cornerback Nathan Vasher last week, and this week they brought in Quintin Demps, Macho Harris, Chevis Jackson and Karl Paymah for a look. Demps and Harris are both castoffs from the Philadelphia Eagles, the team that topped the Lions 35-32 on Sunday at Ford Field.

Detroit also kicked the tires on defensive tackle Tank Tyler.
