Lions player investigated for inappropriate touching

Police in Plymouth, Mich., are investigating claims by a 22-year-old woman that a Detroit Lions player touched her inappropriately at a holiday party at the Ironwood Grill on Monday night.

The woman has retained legal representation although the lawyer and police both say a rape did not occur.

“It's not a rape charge or anything like that," Detective Lt. Jamie Grabowski said, according to the Detroit Free Press.

No one has identified the player to this point. Per Grabowski, the player has denied contact happened. The investigation will likely conclude next week when the case will be given to prosecutors.
“We're representing her for the possibility of filing a civil suit,” attorney Michael Jaafar said. “That's our aim, that's our goal, and once we feel that it's the right time to do it, we're going to do it.”
