Lions sign Rashean Mathis

The Detroit Lions have signed veteran cornerback Rashean Mathis.

A 2006 Pro Bowl selection, Mathis played in Jacksonville for a decade and holds the Jaguars' franchise interception record with 30 interceptions.

The Lions released cornerback Conroy Black, defensive end Braylon Broughton, linebacker Adrian Moten and safety Trevor Coston as they signed Mathis, linebacker Rocky McIntosh and defensive tackles Justin Bannan and John Drew.
