Lions sign Rocky McIntosh

The Detroit Lions have signed veteran linebacker Rocky McIntosh, according to the team.

McIntosh, 30, is a former Washington Redskins starter who has recorded 515 career tackles, nine sacks, eight forced fumbles and four interceptions.

Last season, McIntosh started nine games for the St. Louis Rams and had 44 tackles, one sack and one interception.

The 6-foot-2, 242-pounder played collegiately at the University of Miami.
