Lions take a look at a bunch of offensive linemen
The Detroit Lions have an extra day to prepare this week for their prime time meeting with the Chicago Bears on Monday night.
They’ve used part of their week to kick the tires on a long list of offensive linemen.
According to an NFL source, the Lions had five veteran offensive linemen in for workouts. The list included tackle Max Starks, before he re-signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and four interior linemen. Guards Nick Cole and Montrae Holland were in along with centers Cecil Newton and Reggie Stephens.
The Lions also looked at a pair of defensive backs – Aaron Francisco and Vincent Fuller. The team liked what it saw in Fuller and signed the safety.
